Our site is designed on curriculum focus areas. We believe that the four sections cover most content that is taught in school. It gives us a way to talk about where things are located and what types of activities are available.

More discussion around keeping safe. One learning is that USA (Wisconsin) and Australia (MLC School) have differing legal age limits for drinking, so what happens when an American visits Australia? Who's law applies? Should the age be 18 or 21 and why? How much is to much?

The new 'Welcome towers' begin to take shape. Eventually these will create a variety of experiences for new arrivals. Those experiences will act as an orientation to the skills needed to participate in activities on the island. Students from MLC School, Kyoto and Christ College are hard at work, transforming learning with authentic tasks.

Claudia Linden came to visit as we were constructing the Design Brief Cases. Bryce uploaded the Briefs, Mike amazed us yet again by building our vision and I haggled over the usual what where and how issues. A great team effort once again.

Here I was just checking in on a Sunday. I spotted Judy working on her Church and thought she could do with a break. I took her down to the Apartment building and introduced her to Natalie so that they could swap ideas. Natalie started showing Judy a few ideas - Judy's comment, 'Awesome!'

After Steven's Soul entry we decided to build some soul. We met with the School Reverand and Chaplin, developed some ideas around a brief and Judy got to work on the prototype.

Bryce designed this MLC shirt. We may use this type of shirt to identify Teacher to the students (probably not the army look though) But great first up effort.
I email Brooke a PDF of the school new proposed furniture. That is it pasted up on the wall. There is a workshop platform created infront to allow a workspace. Brooke can then see as he works, the other teens have gathered around to share ideas and learn from the expert mentor. No teacher in site but plenty of learning here.
This is what happens when you just say go for it! I can't belive what they have learnt in a week. Thanks to all our Mentors and to Lindy and Mike D in particular.
